Accounting:
This is the essential course for anyone wishing to learn the most productive aspects of the MYOB Accounting program. Suitable for new users of MYOB’s Accounting, Accounting Plus or Premier products, this course covers many aspects of the monthly and quarterly accounting cycles.
This 12-hour course will benefit the beginner, because of its structured approach, and current users of MYOB who may have been self-taught.
¤ Create a new company “from scratch” and establish a chart of accounts
¤ Load history from a previous accounting system
¤ Maintain a chart of accounts and establish summary and GST accounts
¤ Maintain customer and supplier details and history
¤ Create and use an accounts payable system via invoices or purchase orders
¤ Enter payments directly from cheque stubs
¤ Prepare customer invoices for items sold or services offered
¤ Create complex invoices, cash sales and credit notes
¤ Process accounts receivable payments and produce monthly statements
¤ Perform a bank reconciliation
¤ Create inventory items to monitor stock levels, item cost and selling prices
¤ Interface with Microsoft Excel for further account analysis
¤ Produce the essential general ledger and GST reports
¤ Set up GST accounts and produce the quarterly BAS report

Payroll:
This short 4-hour course is suitable for users of MYOB’s Accounting Plus or Premier products, covering the main aspects of creating employee details, running weekly and monthly reporting and end of year processes.
¤ Create and maintain employee records, and set up deductions and payroll categories
¤ Load payroll history from a previous accounting system
¤ Conduct payroll runs for salaries and wages
¤ Work with and understand entitlements
¤ Set up bank details and pay employees electronically
¤ Produce the essential payroll reports
¤ Perform end of year procedure and produce group certificates |
