Introductory/Intermediate course:

This very practical 12-hour course teaches design concepts and takes the participant through the development of a database and its tables, the production of queries, input forms and reports and then incorporates them into a menu-based system.

¤ Create validation rules to establish data integrity
¤ Learn how to filter data
¤ Input and import data from other applications and maintain tables
¤ Create three different kinds of database queries, including nested queries
¤ Create forms and reports and build a menu-based system

Advanced course:

For the more experienced Access user, this 12-hour course shows you how to work without the assistance of the Wizard, create controls to display and select data, use expressions, work with properties and run four kinds of specialised queries. Data access pages, security procedures, macros and VBA are also introduced.

¤ Learn how to split, replicate and synchronise databases
¤ Create complex forms using controls and working with properties
¤ Create combo boxes, option groups and list boxes
¤ Use the expression builder and create nested functions
¤ Create data access pages, pivot tables and scrolling marquees
¤ Build DAPs for direct use on the Internet
¤ Understand join types when creating queries to locate exceptions in your tables
¤ Create re-usable queries to update, append and delete
¤ Learn how to grant permissions to secure your database at group and user levels
¤ Create macros, macros on forms and group macros
¤ Work with Visual Basic to build and run procedures
